TEDYouth

Are you a fan of the TED talks? The first ever TED event for young people will be held on Saturday, November 19th from 1-5pm at the Times Center. Attendance is free for 300 students in the New York area. The subjects for this “TEDYouth” event include: Math in real life, Creativity in action, Mindshifting stories, Questions people don’t have the answer to, How and why everyday objects work (like the physics of wearing heels). Speakers so far include David Gallo, Bob Full (an MIT technologist), Adam Savage from Myth Busters, Brad Meltzer from the History channel show Decoded, and many more.
